tips & tricks | turn on Anti-Aliasing inSL
[original size for better view -- left pic with jagged edges]
While scrolling down Gogo’s blog, I came across this entry that someone suggested Gogo heavily post-processed her photos. The person also says that white hair inSL always has pixelated edges… which is not true at all. Just look at Winter’s blog! I don’t see pixelized or jagged edges. About post-processing snapshots, I can only speak about my own which aren’t post-processed besides been lighten up. For this post, the images weren’t processed at all aside from being cropped and set side by side.
What happens when you see pixelized with jagged edges screenshots is that some ...

My Thoughts
My Thoughts, originally uploaded by ** GoSpeed Racer **.
Definitely not going to be a nice Christmas for a whole host of reasons. But my concerns and troubles pale in comparison to others in worse situations. My prayers go out to my SL partner who is fighting for her health and has few resources to fall back on. I wished I could do more but the distance and effort is more than I can bear at this time. Literally all I can do is pray as she lacks the will to even use her computer to keep me up to date.
Keep her in your thoughts this Christmas season.

Modifications to Metavirtual
I’ve pretty much completed all major modifications to Metavirtual that I had on my list. Here’s a rundown of the changes:
1. New theme. I reduced the size and amount of images on Metavirtual to reduce bandwidth.
2. Custom favicon. I did this while trying to work out excerpting.
3. Excerpting. Posts are cut at 100 words and then there’s a “read more at the source” link which opens in a new window. This one has been on my list for a while I just haven’t had the time to devote to it.
4. Advertising server: Changed from Ad rotate to openx (again). While I was very happy with adrotate #5 forced me to move to javascript based advertising. My

Inventory Loss! What do I do?
If you ever logged into Second Life and noticed that either your inventory count is lower or that you're missing some items that you recently purchased? This may only be a perceived loss of your inventory and nothing is really missing at all.
The Item Count in the Inventory window is not always precise. The displayed number represents the number of items that have been successfully read into your viewer from your cache and this can be affected by your internet connection, especially if you use a wireless or satellite connection.
Any unstable Internet connection such as wireless or satellite connections can lead ...
